MBMC has reopened for intensive retreat.

During the long Covid break (since March 2020), MBMC managed to renovate & upgrade some of our facilities such as female yogis quarters, male yogis dormitories, top floor meditation hall & toilets at the meditation building to better support the Bhikkhus & Yogis.

With the reopening of our Centre & the upcoming Vassa period, we now would like to invite all Yogis who are interested to practice Satipatthana Vipassana Meditation intensively to apply for meditation retreat at MBMC under the guidance of Nayaka Sayadaw Ashin Pannananda. Interested Yogis are requested to submit your online Yogi Application Form through the link below.

With the guidance of an experienced Sayadaw (Kalyanamitta) & a conducive meditation environment, may all Bhikkhus & Yogis who practice Vipassana meditation diligently at MBMC progress swiftly in gaining Insight Knowledge until the attainment of Path & Fruition Knowledge.

Malaysian Buddhist Meditation Centre (MBMC) is very blessed and fortunate to be favoured by the Penang State Government to receive a piece of land of 5000 sq feet to build a Buddhist place of Worship,  (RIBI - Rumah Ibadat Bukan Islam). 

With this newly acquired government lease land of 5000 sq feet, MBMC is building Penang Buddhist Meditation Centre (PBMC), a new Meditation Centre and Dhamma School now at Lilitan Sungai Ara, Bayan Lepas, Penang.

We joyfully and auspiciously welcome all  brothers & sisters in the Dhamma to rejoice by being the benefactor like Anathapindika and Visakkha of any listed space or unit in our fundraiser booklet. Alternatively, your kind and generous cash donation of any amount would be most appreciated. Any donation above RM500/- for the building, the donor’s name will be engraved on a plaque to be hung up on the wall.

MBMC 2022 Cheng Beng Pai Kong Mah

 Dear devotees,

MBMC will be holding a "Cheng Beng Pai Kong Mah" session on 3rd April 2022 (Sun) . It is about offering of food (Dana) to the monks in conjunction with the Qing Ming Festival. (It is also known as  Sweeping Day,  Chinese Memorial Day or Ancestors' Day),  It is a good opportunity for us to show our gratitude and to share the merit accrued to our ancestors, departed parents, relatives, friends and all beings, wishing them to be happy and be reborn to a higher plane of existence. The monks will chant suttas to transfer merits to the departed ones.

Please forward the online receipt, your name, state the purpose “Cheng Beng Festival Pai Kong Mah” and the name of the departed parents or relatives to MBMC email address : mbmcpg.office@gmail.com or WhatsApp to office hp no. 60127929355.
