After 3 months of rain retreat (Vassa), 30th October 2012 is an auspicious day to celebrate the full moon of the eleventh lunar month. It marks the end of the month of Vassa. MBMC has organized a program to invite this year Kaṭhina sponsors and our Venerable Sanghas together to celebrate this holy day.
Mr Tan & Mrs Tan, Dr. Tan Wei Sern and all family members are the main sponsors for 2012 Kaṭhina program. They has sponsored the requisites and the Dhamma gifts at the Abhidhamma Day to all invited Venerable Sanghas.

The program starts at 8:00pm, by paying homage to Buddha, taking refuge in the Triple Gem and observance of 5 precepts, which are led by Sayadaw Pannanda. Then followed by Kathina sponsors offer requisites to the Venerable Sanghas.

Around 8:30pm, the emcee invited all the Venerable Sanghas and devotees to light the candles at the Bodhi Tree. Lotus candle is provided. After the candle lighting event, we recite the Abhidhamma Pali Chanting which is led by Sayadaw Pannananda with slow, peaceful and gentle tone, subsequently followed by 5 minutes sitting meditation as the picture shown below.
Lastly all the devotees are invited to move forward to receive Dhamma gift from Venerable Sanghas before we transfer merits and dismiss for light refreshment.
